4.5 General examination. UPS shall be examined to verify that the following requirements, at a minimum,
have been met:
a.
Sufficient space is provided for input and output cable connections.
b. Wherever wires run through holes in metal partitions or chassis, grommets are provided for mechanical
protection.
c.
Wires are not bent around sharp corners.
d.
Wires are connected by either bolted or soldered connections.
e.
Bolted connections are provided with locking devices.
f.
Identification and instruction plates are furnished as shown on the accepted drawing.
4.6 Test methods.
4.6.1 Size and weight. The UPS including battery rack shall be measured and weighed.
4.6.2 Creepage and clearance. Creepage and clearance distance shall be demonstrated by actual measurement.
